Pentonville Road |

This previously derelict building sits on a prime triangular site formed where Kings Cross Road and Pentonville Road converge. HUT's retrofit and extension of the building have added an entirely new steel internal structure, core, and rooftop element. Punched into the ceilings at the nose of the building are a series of glazed circular voids and giant light fittings that, when seen from street level, emphasise the verticality of the building. The rooftop pavilion is clad in mirrored glass with openings relating to the windows below; entirely reflective by day it becomes transparent and animated at night.
