As part of Inspire Education Business Partnership's #worldofwork programme, HUT’s Andrew Whiting and Sophie Determann spent the morning with 45 primary school children at NLA’s The London Centre discussing how architecture is made. The children were particularly excited by the NLA’s scale models of the city, identifying London’s many iconic buildings, and understanding how different areas have changed over the years. There was then a discussion about the design process, and a quiz on some other famous buildings throughout the world. The end of the day closed out with the children working in groups to agree briefs to design sustainable building types over the coming weeks. Schools and football stadia being the prevalent building type #architecture #education
