HÛT Open Studio 2017

London Festival Architecture

HÛT will be opening their studio to the public as part of London Festival of Architecture. We present ‘MEMORY’, an audio-visual exhibition in the Curtain Road area of Shoreditch exploring the production of architecture through the unseen data behind past projects. The memory of a completed project, for the architect, comprises layers of research procedures and data collection unrecognised in public: acoustic recordings, three-dimensional data scans, ground condition testing and so on. Making use of this forgotten material from a selection of projects at varying scales, typologies and locations, the exhibition will project visual and audio material within a contained space across multiple surfaces, giving a transient spatial experience and communicating the nuances involved in the creation of contemporary buildings. Click here to book free tickets to visit on Saturday 17th June, 12-4pm.
