HÛT’s Scheme Wins

Making Places Competition

We are thrilled to announce that HUT is one of the winning practices selected for London Waltham Forest’s ‘Making Places’ Competition. HUT’s reinterpretation of the forest aims to return a natural habitat to the residential neighbourhood of Bulwer Road and revitalise an unloved space. HUT will lead the implementation of the proposal throughout 2020. Councillor Clare Coghill, Leader @lbwalthamforest, said “the five winning proposals are inclusive and empowering, supporting residents to become custodians of public space”. Hadrian Garrard, Director of delivery partner @CreateLondon, said “It’s hugely exciting to announce the artists for the final Making Places sites. Waltham Forest is a council dedicated to involving artists, designers and creatives in new and bold ways”. Head to www.makingplaces.co.uk for more info. Congratulations to @eleanor.c.hill @build_up_foundation @insightlighting and @phillipswalmsley for also being selected!
