HUT is a diverse, design-centric and democratic studio environment. Ours has always been a balanced team of women and men, from young designers to senior management, we are currently and proudly a team made up of more women than men.
Our practice is what we teach and we are highly committed to attracting new talent to the profession. We are always keen to engage with the wider construction industry, the community we work in, and also future architects.
HUT take the view that we should start at the grass roots. We work with a number of local schools in areas where Architecture may not be a first choice for pupils with the aim of demystifying the profession. We give talks, lead workshops, and provide teaching resources.
HUT are signatories of Architect’s Declare and are developing in-house strategies to reduce our own energy use.
